Weddings
The weddings in lower-class neighborhoods are usually celebrated in the street. Red lights are hung up between the houses, and chairs and tables are put in the street. A wooden platform enclosed by multicolored cloth serves as a stage. The program usually starts after the wedding procession, at around ten or eleven at night. The bride is sometimes inside her apartment and women lean over the balconies to witness the show downstairs. Sometimes the bride and groom sit apart with the other female guests at a separate space of the street.
